4 piece indie band from Wigan who formed in October of 2019 and played our debut gig at the Zanzibar supporting Liverpool’s nocturnal coast the same December. Our sound is mainly influenced by older indie artists such as the Smiths and the House Martins, but we also draw on influences such as Foals to create our own sound. We’ve released 3 singles to date amassing just shy of 4k streams on Spotify and are looking to get back in the studio in 2021 to prepare another new single and work towards a debut EP. Matt Derda & The High Watts

Our group has only been around for a couple years, but we’ve been performing together in some way for 17 years. I started doing improv comedy with our original bass player in Dayton, OH in 2004. I pursued that dream by moving to Chicago to study at Second City. Joey ended up in Michigan and we started a band called The Disappointments for a few years. I started to incorporate more country music into our sound 2 years ago and we changed the name to Matt Derda & the High Watts. Not long after that Joey became a minor celebrity featured on season 3 of Netflix’s Queer Eye.

Jenny Stevens

UK based ukulele wielding vocalist. Jack of all trades, master of none.
Some people know me as ‘The Ukulele Girl’, some people know me for my band ‘The Jenny Stevens Band’ and some just know me as Jen the girl off BandLab!
I used to perform live before the world went crazy, and you can watch some of my live gig videos on YouTube, from the comfort of your own home.
Since the world has gone crazy, I’ve been getting my music fix collaborating with wonderful musicians all over the world, creating original songs and doing covers. I upload lots of them on both YouTube and Soundcloud before they’re even officially released, so you can go wild and binge to your hearts content!

The Reddest of Lights

So we’re a 3 piece band from North West London and we’ve been going on for about 8 years now. However one of our members is now in Finland. Which is weird but we’re still able to make music thanks to technology. We’ve been friends since school and we’ve all just turned 40 – yet we still feel like kids. Our music is all our own and it’s pretty hard to pin down what our sound is. Even we don’t know, but it’s ours and we love it. We’re hoping to start gigging this year. Our influences are also very broad, from Led Zep to hip hop and lots in-between.

Following on from last year’s single Midnight FearsBobhowla proudly announce Million $ Man, the final teaser track before their long-awaited debut album arrives Fri 5 February 2021.
Available digitally and as a limited vinyl release via Nine x Nine Records, entitled EVERYTHING’S WRONG, BUT IT’S ALRIGHT their debut is the culmination of recording sessions with Rod Jones (Idlewild) at Post Electric Studio. Working together to form 11 tracks, an accumulation of song writing ideas spanning years. Million $ Man is the album’s example of taking a staple live track and letting the studio process completely re-map its direction. The once folky-skiffle ditty is now a hard-hitting, anthemic call to arms, complete with a crafty hook and chorus to match.

Each month we feature the music of The 1937 Flood, The Band, Not the Natural Disaster. As Charles Darwin never said, “There’s nothing natural about these boys’ selections!”

For more than 45 years, The Flood has been playing an eclectic mix of tunes (from folk to swing, from blues to jug band, fiddle tunes and ragtime numbers) throughout the Tri-State Area. At our show each month, The Flood will take the stage first to get the crowd ready for the evening.
